Have you heard about genius hour? It was originally a Google thing that the company did to encourage creativity in their employees. Well, I decided to give it a try this year, with first graders. And you know what? It worked, and they loved it!
So I have been experimenting with a few new things this school year and one of them is Google Classroom. I am fortunate to have five Chromebooks for my class of 20 (possibly more next year). This year’s group is pretty amazing, so I decided to be brave and teach my students how to log onto their school email account.
You may be thinking worms…gross, but kids (most of them) love those little squirmy things! Worms play an important part in gardening. They also are an important part of the life cycle for plants and animals. There are so many fun things to do with worms. Here is a round-up of some great resources.
