Compost Bins

We are fortunate to live near a worm farm.  Yes, you heard me correctly…a worm farm.  Blue Belly Worm Farm is run by farmer Mark and he guides field trips all of the time.  The kids love it.  Here always gives us worms to bring back to our classroom to experiment with.  You can read about how we set up a worm compost bin here.

Worm Friends

Worm friends are a cute stuffed animal (worm) that we make on worm day.  Once their worm friend is made, we use it for writing stories and math.  Many of my students also love reading to their worms.  Read about how to make a worm friend here.
