Teacher Approved 100th Day of School Books

The 100th day of school is such a fun milestone for kindergarten to celebrate. In addition to the hands-on activities you can do on this special day, there are some great 100th day of school books. These are some of our favorite read-alouds we have in our classroom library.

Whenever I can incorporate literature with math, I consider that a bonus. The 100th day is a big day in the primary grade and luckily there are quite a few titles you can choose from.

My students love “the night before” series, so when I saw that there was The Night Before the 100th Day of School I had to get it.

Who doesn’t love Miss Bindergarten? Be sure to grab Miss Bindergarten Celebrate the 100th Day of School by Joseph Slate.

Fancy Nancy The 100th Day of School is a great book because of the vocabulary in the story. We are always able to have great discussions about words after reading this book,

100th Day Worries by Margery Cuyler is a story I like to read before the 100th day of school. It is about a girl who worries about her 100th day collection she needs to bring to class. This is a fun story to read if you ask your students to bring in a collection of items. It gives them some ideas of items to collect.

100th Day Disaster looks like a fun one! I don’t own this, but just added it to my cart. What about you, do you own this book?

Miss Mingo and the 100th Day of School is another favorite book with my class. Miss Mingo is a flamingo teacher for her class of animals. She creates fun 100th day activities for her class that will make your students laugh out loud about!
