Happy Friday! I made it to the end of the week. I was not quite sure that I would, but I did and it’s a super, bonus end of the week because I am not officially on spring break. I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for this week’s Five for Friday.
Monday started out….like any “normal” Monday. I forgot to put the coffee in the coffee maker, so it brewed hot water. Then driving to school, I realized I had forgot my classroom keys to my new classroom. No worries, I can get in from our janitor. Wrong! The night janitor had taken them home. Since it’s a new temporary portable, no others had been made. Luckily when I got to school we had no power, so we were sending families away and telling them to check back later. So long story, short we had a delayed start and minimal kids at school. The kids loved their new classroom.
I pulled these out, spring break here we come!
Froggy Mail is happening this week at our school. The kids are loving it! It is so fun to see k-8 students motivated to write to each other. Since my son is in kindergarten this year, he is able to write letters. Here is one I received from him yesterday.
Here are some postal worker self-portraits that our awesome art teacher did with my class.
You can read about our school wide froggy mail here.
I had a few projects I was trying to wrap up before spring break and one of them was my May Print and Do pack. When we get back from spring break we will only have 51 days of school left, and I know it will get busy fast!
We will be gone for St. Patrick’s Day, so we did some fun leprechaun stuff this week. Here are some cute leprechauns we made, along with a writing about what we would wish for. Grab your freebie below.
