Election Day

|

Election day is coming up.  As a teacher it is important to teach about the process, but remain neutral in front of my students.  There are some great resources out there to help teach about election day.

Books

Here are some of my favorite books that I like to read around election time.

You can also get these great I voted stickers!  The come in a pack of 500, so you can share them or use them for many years.

I like to put on a mock election in my class.  The “candidates” change depending on my students (or allergies).  My candidates are usually some sort of a food item!  I have my students write in the candidates and then they vote!  Grab you blank ballot here.

I have also created a Pinterest board with some election resources that I have found.  Check it out below!

There you have it, some of my favorite books and resources I like to incorporate with the elections.

Now, don’t forget to get out and vote!
