IT’S FRIDAY! Yes, I was screaming that! You probably were too, if you are a teacher. Halloween on a Monday? Really? Let’s just say that it was a long week. I am happy to start my weekend and share a bit from my week.
One
Halloween at my house was so fun! This is the first year my son decided to dress as something that was not some one piece, cheap costume from the Halloween store. He was a nerd. He really didn’t need to dress up, but I didn’t tell him that (ha ha!). We found a few accent pieces and added a little extra gel to his hair and then we had a nerd.
Two
At school we had a parade and worked on a lot of fun Halloween stuff. One of my favorite things we did was a direct draw of a haunted house from Art Hub. If you don’t know Art Hub, check it out! It’s a direct draw youtube channel for kids. They have so many cool drawing and even origami. My students like to watch them during rainy day recess.
Three
In math, we were busy hunting for secret sentences with different QR math hunts. You can read more about them here and grab a free scavenger hunt!
Four
I am need deep in assessments and getting student work organized for parent conferences. We have conferences next Wednesday and Thursday. It will be great to meet with parents and share the progress their child is making. No picture, but I am sure you can imagine what it looks like!
Five
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I can’t believe it! I wanted to share two favorite freebies for this time of year.
Thanksgiving Find, Tally and Graph
Enjoy your weekend!
We love Art Hub- and … I LOVE your sweet little nerd! <3
I had never heard of Art Hub before and now I am eager to share it with my second-graders. Thanks for sharing!
No problem! I hope your students enjoy it!
Aww, your son is too cute in his costume!
