I love to incorporate nonfiction into my classroom. The week we will be learning all about recycling, reducing, reusing, and rot (worms) in honor of Earth Day. We have a week full of activities planned. Here are the components of the Earth Day nonfiction part of my week.
Earth Day is just around the corner. I believe this is one of the most important things we need to teach our students about…stewardship for the Earth. I teach and reinforce recycling all year, but it is always nice to give it a little extra attention this month. Here are some resources that you may find helpful in your classroom.
Easter is so early this year! I feel like I will just be getting over the leprechaun craziness, and after one blink it will be Easter. I don’t teach about the actual Easter holiday, but I like to incorporate beans, eggs and bunnies into our math and literacy centers.
