This past weekend I had the pleasure of traveling down to Pasadena to the Southern California PK1 conference. I presented on a session about interactive notebooks and I got to hang out with some really fun ladies.
I flew down with my other NorCal buddy Kelley from Teacher Idea Factory. It was so nice to have a plane buddy! She rocks at presenting by the way. If you ever get a chance to watch her, she is a hoot! Friday night we went to the blogger bash that the conference put on. It was fun and a little crazy. We started at one table and then had to switch tables for every course (and remember to bring our utensils with us). I did meet some wonderful educators!
After the bash, we took over the hotel bar for some more fun and laughs. It was a great way to calm my nerves because I was so nervous for my presentation. I’m kind of a newbie in that department. But the next morning, I woke up on time and made it through the presentation. It was so much fun! I met some great teachers! SoCal teachers are so cool.
Later in the day, a few of us headed to a yummy lunch and laughed some more. I got my ab workout for the weekend just with all of the laughing that occurred. I even learned about a new reality show to watch (like I need another show to watch), Alaskan Bush People…high quality I am sure of it!
Sounds like you had a wonderful time! I hope to see you present one day! 🙂
