It’s time for one of my favorite units of the year…rainforests! I absolutely love teaching about the rainforest. It’s so engaging for students. Even though we can’t visit a tropical rainforest where we live, they connect to what we learn about and can transfer the big ideas to our local ecosystems.
Easter is so early this year! I feel like I will just be getting over the leprechaun craziness, and after one blink it will be Easter. I don’t teach about the actual Easter holiday, but I like to incorporate beans, eggs and bunnies into our math and literacy centers.
Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. I love all of the flowers, the weather, spring cleaning and all of the engaging activities you can do in the classroom. In my classroom, it’s a great time to throw in some spiral review of skills we have learned throughout the year.
